Here is the 2nd block for the September 2019 classes:
This block is called the North Star. The 2nd image again shows where this block will be on the Rainbow Sampler Quilt.
More information about the class can be found here.
I’ve been piecing together quilt blocks for the Rainbow Sampler which will be made at classes starting back in September 2019.
This is the 1st block – the Eight Pointed Star.
The 2nd image shows where this block will be placed on this Sampler Quilt. I’ll share a block each day until I’ve posted them all 😉
If you have already booked a place on this class, your Fabric Requirements will be emailed out tonight!
As well as this sampler, I’m also working on the workshop pieces just now. I have both the Trip Around the World and the Christmas in July quilt tops done and I will quilt these shortly. The 6ply socks are about 50% finished – I’m on the 2nd sock. I’ve had the most amazing idea for the Dresden Patchwork Day – I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the finished piece turns out as good as the idea in my head!
I have added details of the first three workshops that I will be holding in Spring/Summer 2019.
The first two workshops are for a Keek-a-Boo Bag and Crochet Baskets:
The third workshop will be a Trip Around the World Quilt:
More details about the other workshops will be added soon.
My new quilting classes will be starting on Thursday 7th September 2017.
I will be holding classes on one Wednesday evening and two Thursday mornings, running fortnightly.
There will be no Thursday afternoon class, as my weekly craft group meets in Prestwick Community Centre at this time (anyone wishing to come along to the craft group will be more than welcome).
For more information about my quilting classes please have a look at the Quilting Classes page.
New sewing, knitting and crochet workshops are now available for Spring/Summer 2017.

My new Craft Group and Quilting Classes will be starting soon!
As many of you will have heard already, Sheila (aka Bluepatch Quilter) is retiring from teaching her quilting classes this year. She has asked me to take over from her, so from September 2016, I’ll be teaching the quilting classes in Prestwick Community Centre.  The classes I will be doing initially will be aimed more at beginners and advanced beginners.
If you want more information, you can pop along to the Bluepatch Quilter Open Day on Sunday 3rd April 2016, which is to be held at Alloway Public Hall – NOT in Prestwick! (Google Maps). I hope to bring along and display samples of the quilts that we’ll be making in the new classes in September.
There will be more information on how to book classes coming soon.
In the meantime, I’ll also be starting a new craft group. You are all welcome to come along to my weekly group with your favourite handcraft for cake, a cuppa and conversation while we work on our knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, cross stitch and embroidery.
